TACKLE (Technology and Cultural Kumeyaay Literacy Education)

TACKLE (Technology and Cultural Kumeyaay Literacy Education) is designed culturally and linguistically to serve learners exclusively from the San Pasqual Bands of Kumeyaay (Mission) Indians. As with LCM, the curriculum is designed to promote children’s literacy and cognitive development through bilingual, bicultural activities. The children read, write, and play skill-building math and literacy computer games in collaboration with university undergraduates while play is used as a framework for learning.
